So I'm Going Natural...

After lots of thought I have decided to go natural! I've been thinking about why I relax my hair and to be honest I'm not sure why i do. In fact i prefer curly hair not straight and I know that Afro type hair is not the same at curly hair in other races but there are so many ways you can wear your hair natural- and now I have awesome straighteners which will work work wonders on my hair so I can wear it straight too :) I have nothing against relaxed hair because mine is relaxed right now and almost ALL of the ladies in my family relax. One of my main reasons for going natural is that I am really fed up with relaxing my hair, it really is getting me nowhere and all the breakage, spilt ends and problems it causes i just don't see the point any more.
The only thing I'm upset with is the fact that i was 6months post and I relaxed! I just wish I made this decision a bit earlier :( would have saved me some time but oh well.
So now I'm just working on finding out more about natural hair and how to care for it. Oh and finding some 'hair-spriation'. As for the big chop, i will do it eventually but I plan to transition for at least 1yr or more

Here's a list of the blogs that have helped me to decide go natural:

What are your future hair plans? Do you plan to go natural at some point or stay relaxed?

Mane n Tail Moisturizer Texturizer!

I bought this product last week and tried it out on Sunday. I really liked it, I thought I would anyway because i really like the brand. Also, I read quite a few reviews on it before buying it and it wasn't as thick as I thought it would be which was good.

The product states that it has:
• Exclusive protein enriched formula fortifies the hair shaft preventing breakage and split ends
• Natural oils that nourish and condition the hair and scalp
• Essential moisturizing corrects the drying effect caused by sun, wind and use of bleach and peroxide lighteners
• Keeps hair tangle free, soft and manageable for grooming and braiding (haha grooming)
• Effective as a leave-in or rinse out conditioner based on hair type

I left it on for around 30mins without heat and applied a little as a leave in and it really did leave my hair soft and manageable. It really didn't feel like a protein conditioner and i don't think it has much protein in it. I will definitely be adding this to my list of staples :)
